The word Kinfauns is derived from the Gaelic - caenn fan - meaning head of slope. A chroniclar writing in the nineteenth century referred to the castle grounds as the park of Kinfauns. Today the castle stands in 26 acres of parkland. It is a superb Scottish castle dating from 1822. The castle has 16 bedrooms and suites which have character and charm.
