It's high quality hotel, which situated on beautiful and historic premises in the heart of Copenhagen. The Hotel is only a mere 8 minutes drive from Copenhagen Airport and the Oresund Bridge. Offers 161 newly restored rooms and suites with a tasteful decor, some furnished thematically. A classic building dating back to 1890 (a hotel has stood on this spot for over one hundred years) there are a few concessions and the bathrooms are fairly small. 161 rooms and suites all tastefully furnished. Marble bathroom, hair dryer, trouser press, telephone, minibar, satellite TV, and in-house video complete the picture. The Grand Hotel accommodates the cosy Restaurant Frascati that offers a classic Italian cuisine. But the bedrooms themselves are a good size and contain some of the original features of the building such as heavy wooden doors. These features continue throughout parts of the hotel including stained-glass windows in some of the stair-wells. Single rooms have just a single bed and shower only. The main restaurant, Frascati, is Italian, and serves informal lunch and dinner at reasonable prices for its standard. For business guests there's a small business centre to one side of the reception with a pc, printer and fax. The Grand has retained a lot of its original charm and remains a popular choice in Copenhagen. |

The hotel is a simple but perfectly acceptable hotel in a convenient location which is ideal for budget travellers. Please note that the hotel is located in what is called the 'red light district' of Copenhagen, but in reality this consists of a small number of bars and sex shops and certainly does not represent a dangerous area in anyway.
